The economic value of recovered materials provides another incentive. Instead of treating used tires solely as waste, operators can consider them a source of carbon, oil, and other valuable outputs.

However, collection infrastructure requires investment. Fragmented waste-management systems, transportation costs, informal recycling, and regulatory uncertainty can make feedstock aggregation challenging.

Government support can accelerate formalization. Clear recycling standards, producer-responsibility frameworks, collection incentives, and environmental enforcement can improve the investment environment.

As the global vehicle fleet continues expanding, end-of-life tires will remain a substantial waste stream. Turning this waste into valuable recovered materials can support both environmental objectives and industrial demand.

Consequently, the success of the recovered carbon black industry will depend not only on processing technology but also on the development of efficient tire collection and recycling ecosystems.
